Job Description

Employee Responsibilities:

  • This position will support formulation and in-vivo studies, including the preparation of (previously developed) formulations for animal studies.
  • Support may includeprocessing support for spray drying of amorphous dispersions, the preparation of particle based formulations,routine performance checks on instruments, Weighing and labelling of samples prior to shipping for studies at other sites, and / or other preparation techniques as required.
  • Other tasks may include: Forced degradation studies of drug substance, Stability/Solubility testing,Particle size measurements of drug substance and formulations, Characterization of compounds/formulations, Analytical testing, Power blending & Filter analysis for inhaled programs.
  • Use of analytical equipment (may include HPLC/UPLC, XRPD, TGA, DSC, CD, FTIR, HP-SEC, UV-Vis, DLS, and fluorescence assays, etc.)

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate would possess:
  • Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Adhere to quality control and safety procedures, work in an organized manner, and comply with client site requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or other related degree concentration
  • Must have hands-on experience with analytical techniques
  • Must be able to start shift early a few days a week
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is first shift, full-time with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encouraged to apply.
