Assistant Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management

Position Description: The Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management at Cleveland State University is searching a Tenure-track Assistant Professor. CSU is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. The start date is August 22, 2022.

The successful candidate will teach courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management area at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels; maintain an active and high-quality research agenda and including with doctoral students; and participate in departmental, college, and university services.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or related field completed by July 1, 2022 (ABD candidates considered but hired at the rank of Instructor); evidence of high-quality research and teaching potentials; ability to teach Operations and Supply Chain Management courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels; good oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience/research interest in smart manufacturing and sustainable operations that support the CSU's strategic plan; active research record including recent publications; documented excellence in teaching; and prior relevant industry experience. The ability to contribute through teaching and/or service to the diversity, cultural sensitivity, and excellence of the academic community.

Department: The OSM Department, with six full-time faculty members, is committed to excellence in research and teaching. Our faculty members are active and dedicated researchers whose contributions are recognized nationally and internationally. We offer courses at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels.

College: The Monte Ahuja College of Business has 70 full-time faculty members, with a current enrollment of over 3,000 students. Its programs are accredited at both the graduate and undergraduate levels by the AACSB. Degrees offered by the College include the DBA, MBA, MLRHR, Master of Accountancy, Master of Information Systems, a joint MBA-JD, and BBA.

University: Cleveland State University enrolls almost 17,000 students, in nine colleges and more than 200 academic programs. It is located within walking distance of the downtown business and entertainment centers and has strong ties with the business and public sectors in Northeast Ohio. Cleveland and the Northeast Ohio region feature vibrant neighborhoods, reasonable housing prices, an internationally renowned orchestra, major league sports teams, and world-class health care organizations.
