Position: Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering

The Science and Mathematics Department in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) at Alvernia University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Mechanical Engineering at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, beginning Fall 2022 depending on experience.

Required Qualifications: We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and experience in mechanical engineering fields like thermodynamics, fluids, heat transfer, solid mechanics, strengths of materials, machine design, mechatronics, dynamics, vibrations, controls, robotics, and/or materials and manufacturing. Primary responsibilities include teaching and developing undergraduate courses in engineering, advising students, engaging in service to the university, establishing a research program involving undergraduate students, and working with community partners. Candidates should provide evidence of relevant teaching experience and scholarly productivity.
