Position: Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering

The Science and Mathematics Department in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) at Alvernia University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Electrical Engineering at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level, beginning Fall 2022 depending on experience.

Required Qualifications: We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and experience in electrical engineering fields like electronics, digital systems and circuits, electromagnets and waves, electronic and photonic materials, and/or linear systems/communication systems. Primary responsibilities include teaching and developing undergraduate courses in engineering, advising students, engaging in service to the university, establishing a research program involving undergraduate students, and working with community partners. Candidates should provide evidence of relevant teaching experience and scholarly productivity.

For tenure-track consideration, candidates must have an earned doctorate and evidence of scholarly output. Teaching assignments may include traditional day, graduate and adult accelerated courses, off-site, and online/blended delivery formats. Commitment to engaging in high-impact practices such as service-learning and experiential learning, and use of innovative pedagogy.
