Qualifications:
A PhD or EdD in Early Childhood Education (ABD candidates may apply). This faculty role includes the preparation of teachers to work in culturally and linguistically rich contexts, and applicants must have experience in early childhood settings with ethnically diverse students. Candidates should have knowledge of the NAEYC professional standards and competencies and familiarity with the InTASC Model Standards for preparing pre-service candidates for licensing.
A successful candidate will bring a broad knowledge of expertise in Early Childhood education. Candidates should exhibit proficiency in course design (traditional, online, and/or hybrid), demonstrate scholarly promise or evidence of scholarly work, and practice a collaborative approach to working with students and faculty.
Our curriculum focuses on developing core competencies necessary for P-3 practitioners to realize educational equity for all learners. Candidates should provide evidence of a clear commitment to the Christian faith and the goals of social, racial, decolonial, and linguistic justice in the classroom.

Additional Information:
This is a tenure-track, nine-month appointment teaching primarily undergraduate courses in our new Early Childhood Education program within the School of Education. In future years this program may also be offered at the graduate level.
Compensation commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, disability, life insurance, and retirement programs based on employment status. A moving allowance is also available.
