The Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Physics within the College of Natural and Health Sciences at The University of Tampa invites applications for a tenure-track position in Biochemistry at the level of Assistant Professor, starting in August 2022.

The University of Tampa is a medium-sized, comprehensive, residentially-based private institution of more than 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Faculty at UT are expected to demonstrate a dedication to the education of undergraduate students by teaching lower- and upper-level courses within our chemistry and biochemistry curriculum; engage in research activities involving undergraduate students; and provide service to the department, college, and university community. The teaching load for this position is 24 total contact hours (including teaching labs) over the academic year.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in biochemistry or related field and will strengthen our ASBMB-accredited biochemistry program; postdoctoral research and prior teaching experience is preferred.
