Pittsburg State University seeks a faculty member in School Psychology committed to high-quality teaching for a full-time, tenure-earning position in the Department of Psychology and Counseling (https://www.pittstate.edu/psych). Position begins on August 15, 2022, and will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, advising, and supervision. Specific courses will depend on areas of expertise and/or experience but may include: Intellectual Assessment, Ethical and Legal Issues in School Psychology, Assessment and Intervention with Early Childhood Disabilities, and/or other classes as assigned. Scholarly activity in the area of school psychology is desirable and service to the department, college and university are required. The candidate filling the position will be part of the School Psychology program which offers an Ed.S. Degree. College teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to school psychology through research and/or practice in the public schools, and credentials as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) are preferred. Candidates need a Ph.D. in School Psychology that will be conferred by August 15, 2022. The Department of Psychology and Counseling serves nearly 300 undergraduate majors and 120 graduate students (including: general, clinical, behavior analysis, and school psychology; and school counseling). Excellence in teaching is emphasized in the department. PSU is a comprehensive regional university with an enrollment of 6,500 and is located in the city of Pittsburg, Kansas (approximate population 20,000; https://pittsburgareachamber.com).
