Pittsburg State University seeks a faculty member committed to high-quality teaching for a full-time, tenure-earning position in the Department of Psychology and Counseling (http://www.pittstate.edu/psych). Position begins on August 15, 2022, and will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, advising, and supervision. Specific courses will depend on areas of expertise and/or experience but may include: behavior analysis courses, Assessment, Introduction to Human Neuropsychology, Psychopharmacology, and/or other undergraduate courses as assigned. Scholarly activity is preferred with special consideration given to candidates with specialization in behavior analysis or clinical psychology. Service to the department, college, and university are required. The successful candidate will support the undergraduate B.A. and B.S. programs in addition to supporting training at the graduate level based on expertise. College teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to the field of psychology through professional practice and/or research are preferred. Candidates with a specialization in clinical or counseling psychology must be supportive of master's level practitioners in underserved areas. A doctoral degree is required to be eligible for tenure (ABD will be considered). If the candidate's specialization is in Clinical Psychology (or Counseling Psychology), they must have graduated from an APA-Accredited program and must be licensed or license-eligible in the State of Kansas.

The Department of Psychology and Counseling serves nearly 300 undergraduate majors and 120 graduate students (including: general, clinical, behavior analysis, school psychology, and school counseling). Excellence in teaching is emphasized in the department.
