The Department of Classics at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We are looking for a scholar with a strong background in ancient Latin literature and a research profile focusing primarily on Latin. Candidates should be able to teach Greek and Latin at all levels, in addition to graduate research seminars, general classics undergraduate courses, and contribute to our general education curriculum.

Qualifications: This appointment will begin August 15, 2022, and the successful applicant must have PhD in hand in Classics or a related field that confers the equivalent training in both the ancient Greek and Latin languages by the start of employment. Teaching experience at the college level is preferred, as is a record of original peer-reviewed publications. ABDs welcome to apply.
