SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Assistant Mail Clerk in El Paso, TX at the Service Processing Center.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Complete repetitive clerical tasks
• Open mail
• Distribute mail
• File documents in alphabetical file
• Operate basic office equipment and phones
• Perform other duties, as assigned
• Abide by all Performance Based National Detention Standards (PBNDS revised 2016) and any subsequent modification
• Abide by all American Correctional Association (ACA) Standards
• Abide for all Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Standards
• Assist HR in filling and keeping up with files
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen or LPR.
• Not currently employed by federal agency/active-duty military.
• HS Graduate or GED.
• Meet physical/health requirements for duties.
• Valid Public Trust Clearance.
• At least one year of administrative/clerical experience.
• Pass fit for duty and physical

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• Ability to timely and accurate reports on Word and Excel Formats
• English literacy and ability to write reports in English;
• Ability to keep files up to date

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; most of time is spent sitting in a comfortable position with frequent opportunity to move about.

Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb stairs or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

COVID VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation "safety-sensitive" functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed at the camp , walking in the elements, sand requires some use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily at the camp and some office setting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• No supervisory responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
