Under the direction of the Head Equipment Manager, the Assistant Equipment Manager's primary responsibilities are to assist with Equipment Department operations for all 18 intercollegiate athletic programs. Daily duties include washing of uniforms, distributing and collecting towels, equipment, and other game and practice items; and coordinating with coaches on program needs. This individual will work with programs and coaches as assigned by Head Equipment Manager. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for assisting with the inventory control of equipment room supplies; be available to work Stetson athletic or special events. This individual will supervise and direct student staff, perform minor repairs to equipment, and assist in budget management. Specifically, and without limitation, the Assistant shall adhere to applicable federal and state laws, University rules and regulations and with all laws, rules and regulations (collectively the "legislation") of the National Collegiate Athletic Association ("NCAA") and the Atlantic Sun Conference.

Minimum Education: High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred

Required Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Above average computer skills necessary and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is strongly helpful
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends with extreme flexible hours, including holidays and weekends

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University's auto insurance carrier.

Required Experience
  • High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Division I Athletic programs
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, fellow employees, program boosters and the public

Salary Grade: 2
