Assistant Director of Global Business ProgramsJob Summary:

The Assistant Director of Global Business Programs (ADGBP) contributes to the strategic direction of FSB's Global Programs. Primary areas of responsibility include managing FSB semester study abroad programs, managing the Business in the Global Market certificate, serving as the webmaster for FSB Global Business Programs, developing and delivering marketing campaigns, supporting a portfolio of faculty-led programs, overseeing student advising for FSB study abroad programs, and assisting with administration of study abroad scholarships, travel expenses across FSB programs, and other administrative responsibilities related to programs. Miami University recognizes that technology enables us to find new ways of providing first class service and workplace flexibility. The duties and responsibilities of the position allow for the Assistant Director of Global Business Programs to work remotely up to 20% of the time, when the job permits. Full-time work in Oxford, Ohio will be necessary at least 4 days a week. Remote work is a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason.

Duties/Physical Demands:

The ADGBP will provide comprehensive support for FSB study abroad programs and international initiatives and implement strategic goals in collaboration with key stakeholders across the university; develop, plan, and execute a portfolio of FSB study abroad programs: develop proposals and budgets, manage contracts, coordinate student recruitment, advising and application processes, create course planning forms where needed, and provide pre-departure and re-entry education; support a portfolio of faculty-led programs: develop and execute programs in collaboration with faculty directors, manage program budgets, coordinate program logistics, manage application processes, and provide overall program support; oversee student advising for FSB study abroad programs; collaborate with key stakeholders across the division to ensure comprehensive support of students, provide training for academic advisors, and liaise with academic departments; manage the Business in the Global Market certificate, including marketing the program, instructing BUS 241, tracking progress across certificate students, and advising prospective and active students; coordinate marketing and promotion of FSB study abroad programs, including program materials, communications, presentations, recruiting events, and website; and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited university, three years of experience in international education, academic advising, study abroad, or closely related area. Domestic and international travel required.

Position is not eligible for H1B sponsorship.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates with Master's degree in international education, student affairs, higher education, business administration, or closely related area from an accredited university and four or more years of experience in the field(s) of international education, student affairs, advising, and/or study abroad. Strong program development and program management experience; ability to work independently and productively in an ever-changing fast-paced environment; proven ability to set priorities, exercise initiative and execute projects; detail oriented; team-oriented; some fiscal/budget management experience; experience working with diverse populations and cultures; experience studying, living, or working abroad; excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and proven engagement with best practices in field of International Education. Experience with Terra Dotta Studio Abroad software desirable; and excellent written and verbal communication including strong presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, parents and other constituents.
