Nestlé Waters is looking for a finance leader with strong business acumen and aspirations for increased accountability to join our Finance Leadership team as an Assistant Controller and help shape our future. This position will be based in our Zephyrhills, FL factory supporting both the Supply Chain and Technical & Production teams. The qualified candidate will perform multiple tasks under fast paced conditions in an office / manufacturing environment and requires the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees. The organization is seeking a talented candidate with upside to grow into senior management roles in the future.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the Factory Controller and Regional Finance Manager in Financial Control and Fiduciary Responsibilities for the Factory and Region
  • Monitor general accounting functions such as A/P, payroll, fixed asset management, maintenance and cost center postings to ensure accuracy and adherence to internal controls
  • Oversee and assist the Financial Administrator with Accounts Payable activities
  • Monitor labor and operational spend with effective spreadsheets, measuring tools and schedules
  • Manage Period End Close process including developing accurate financial statements, preparation of accruals & reclass entries and regular reporting to local operations team
  • Analyze P&L variances, partner with operational leaders to define drivers, initiate action plans for control & improvement and translate findings into balance of year forecast
  • Complete maintenance work order settlement and track maintenance expenditures
  • Perform new product setup in SAP and ensure accurate product costing
  • Support bottoms-up annual planning process including Product Costing steps and Cost Center budgets
  • Partner with the Factory Controller and Regional Finance Manager to maintain internal controls and develop any necessary new requirements to meet organizational compliance standards
  • Calculate, review and report on various monthly KPI's which summarize performance in various key areas of the business along with forward-thinking leading measures to improve results
  • Perform various Ad-Hoc Analysis' & Projects as assigned by the Operations Finance team

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required, Finance or related field
  • 4+ years' experience with Finance and Cost Accounting
  • Exposure to Supply Chain & Manufacturing Operations
  • Strong systems skills (i.e. Excel, Essbase, ERP, Business Warehouse reporting); SAP preferred
  • Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize duties with a sense of urgency
  • Strong communication skills including written and verbal
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, accountable and dedicated to continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to Co-Pilot and partner with operational leaders to drive business results
  • Ability to work in a complex, changing environment
  • Some travel required (5-10%)
  • Mobility a plus for future career opportunities
