POSITION SUMMARY:

This role supports the management team with timely and accurate financial and management reporting. The Assistant Controller will prepare internal and external financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and be the lead with ensuring that percentage of completion and point in time revenue projects are accounted properly at month end. This position's responsibilities will include monthly consolidations, monthly reporting, variance analysis, SOX controls and internal and external audit support. This position will also support lease accounting under ASC 842

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP. Ensure data submitted in accordance with deadlines, appropriate reviews have been performed, results are complete, accurate and delivered timely to key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the Gross Margin of all projects are accurate by working with division finance leaders and the Corporate Controller.
  • Prepare monthly project bridge revenue and cost reconciliation by line of business ensuring project revenue and costs reconcile to the trial balance and communicate results to various finance leaders.
  • Ensure accuracy of elimination journal entries in Infor LN (LN) and consolidated trial balances in Adaptive.
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary on balance sheet and income statement changes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Maintain standard LN and Adaptive templates for consolidation, financial reporting and SOX requirements.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits providing requested supporting documentation and reporting related to the consolidation process and SOX controls.
  • Review accuracy of foreign exchange rates in accounting systems to support proper consolidation, valuation, and translation including analysis and reasonableness review of cumulative translation account balances.
  • Key contributor to the month-end close and consolidation process, including trial balance reviews, preparing journal entries in LN, completing monthly reconciliations and investigating variances as needed.
  • Assist with lease accounting under ASC 842 and monthly journal entries for all entities

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • CPA
  • 10+ years of experience
