$3,000 hiring bonus to join the Judicial Branch! (Bonus prorated proportionally for part-time positions) The Judicial Branch is a state-funded Branch of Government that offers benefits to include medical/dental/vision, $20,000 free basic life insurance, state-matched 156% retirement plan, 13 paid holidays, earned paid vacation and sick leave, tuition reimbursement and more.

The Brown County Court and Cherry County Court are accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Clerk II position working 2 days per week in Brown County Court and 3 days per week in Cherry County Court. In the absence of the Clerk Magistrate or Clerk of the Court, the Assistant Clerk II as designated, will assume the responsibility of the office including deputy authority. May also be responsible for assigning and supervising work of others within a division or divisions of the court. Travel to cover both counties will be required weekly.

Examples of Work

The Assistant Clerk II may perform records clerk, accounting clerk, or registrar duties, assign, supervise, and review the work of other employees, answer administrative inquiries, prepare reports, and compile statistics, assist with data entry functions, budget preparations, formulation of office policies and procedures, and may be assigned other duties or locations as required.

Qualifications / Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or its equivalent, plus at least two years of experience working in a court system or related professional environment OR Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Supervisory experience. The ability to speak Spanish is desired but not required.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of "on-the-job training" in the use of JUSTICE (the statewide court computer system) within six months will be required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requirements include knowledge of laws, procedures, policies and operations of the court; typing skills and computer data entry knowledge; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with personnel at all levels; ability to implement decisions effectively ability to communicate both orally and in writing; abilities to plan, organize, assign and supervise the work of others; ability to become proficient in the use of JUSTICE (the statewide court computer system) at the time of installation in the court and the ability to travel between counties within the District when required.
