Job Information
This position with the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, involves 70% teaching responsibility for the Augusta University Office of Academic Affairs as a psychiatric educator, which includes curriculum development and classroom instruction of Medical College of Georgia students. In addition, 30% of the position responsibility involves direct adult patient care in the Department of Psychiatry and Health Behavior outpatient clinic.
Also involved is participation in taking general psychiatry call including one weekend per quarter, one holiday per year and telephonic call 1-2 week nights per month. Weekend and holiday call involves conducting general psychiatry rounds in the AU Medical Center Emergency Department and on AU Medical Center medical floors on patients being followed by the department's Psychiatry Consultation Liaison Service.
Shift/Salary
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
