Description
The Department of Biology at San Diego State University is recruiting for two tenure-track faculty positions in Cell Biology, one as Assistant Professor and one as Assistant/Associate Professor. Successful candidates will use state-of-the-art approaches to investigate fundamental questions in eukaryotic cell biology. We seek individuals who are conducting cutting-edge research in animal, plant, or cellular systems that advances our mechanistic understanding of cell biology.

Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. in Cell Biology or a related field, postdoctoral research experience or equivalent, and a record of research accomplishments, including extramural support and collaboration capabilities. Appointees will mentor students in our Doctoral program (offered jointly with the University of California, San Diego) and our Master of Science program in Cell and Molecular Biology, as well as participate in the SDSU undergraduate and graduate teaching mission. Candidates that have a demonstrated track record of mentoring and promoting inclusive excellence in STEM are highly encouraged to apply.
