What You Will Contribute:


The Assembler is responsible for assembling and preparing products for testing. The Assembler is also responsible for the following main accountabilities:

  • Receive instructional work orders and assemble sub-assemblies and finish product from parts as provided.
  • Reads manufacturing orders, follows production drawings, and sample assemblies.
  • Tends machines, such as arbor presses or riveting machines, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
  • Record test results on standardized forms and writes test reports describing procedures used.
  • Test sample of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
  • Record scraps transactions due to assembly problems.
  • Participate in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost continuous improvement efforts.
  • Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions and report completed work.
  • Use basic Hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools to complete assemblies.
  • Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders when required for a specific job.
  • Responsible for basic soldering, gluing and centering to specific tolerances. (Analytical Technologies)
  • Basic testing including using multimeter test equipment. (Analytical Technologies)
  • Additional projects, tasks, and/or assignments as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GE; Associates Degree or vocational training desired
  • No previous experience required, 1+ years of assembly experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Enthusiasm and ability to work well in busy environment
  • Good attendance required

Physical Requirements:

Depending on assigned department must be able to meet one of the following physical requirements.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform a forward bending and dexterity test (Dept. 54438, 54451)
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform a forward bending and dexterity test (Dept. 54437Wyco)
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 40 pounds (Dept. 54452, 54437WCM)
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 20 pounds (Dept. 54407, 54442, 54443, 54444, 54439)
