We are currently seeking an Analyst Intern on our Plan Analyst team in Troy, Michigan.

Our internship will focus on the tools needed to build a solid foundation for our Client Management or Sales career pathways.

Position Overview:

The summer internship at Marsh McLennan Agency Michigan offers students a chance to explore analysis with the Employee Benefits Insurance practice.

Each intern selected for the program will gain exposure to not only analyst positions but our agency and industry overall. Elements of the internship program include lunch & learn sessions, analyzing client information, researching for ad-hoc projects, and a final group presentation delivered to the senior leadership team.

In this role, the intern will have the opportunity to work with key stakeholders across the agency.

What can you expect to do?

• Follow your individualized internship plan with guidance from your supervisor and mentor(s).
• Be consistent and punctual with the submissions of the work assignments to the mentor(s).
• Complete weekly activity report and other forms required as learning tools.
• Relay and apply knowledge acquired in the academic setting to the company setting.
• Job shadowing to see the day in a life of an analyst.
• Participate in office, carrier, and/or client meetings.

What do we look for?

• Students entering their senior year toward a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree preferred.
• Majors in Risk and Insurance Management, Finance OR displaying a keen interest in learning insurance, risk management, or financial consulting fields.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Applied knowledge in the areas of communication, interpersonal relationship management, versatility and creativity.
• Display resourcefulness in finding solutions for our clients and our Agency.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Resolution and solution-oriented.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
