This position will be responsible for and/or assisting various activities including but not limited to, improving, and supporting pipeline operations, providing entry-level analytical and administrative support to Field Operations personnel and others, and providing administrative support for Field Operations. This position applies strong analytical and computer skills to work in Field Operations. The position works across multiple departments and groups to increase system efficiency and effectiveness through analytics. The position will require an analytical and data driven mind-set to produce results.

Employee will provide specialized knowledge in the effective completion of projects, work assignments, and data mining. This analyst position will plan and conduct work requiring independent evaluation and assume responsibility for projects outcomes. Employee will assist in implementation of departmental and capital budgets as well as provide administrative assistance. This position may be required to mentor and direct the work of others.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Collect, analyze, and will be called upon to create and deliver presentations at management meetings
  • Contribute to the development and communication of the strategic vision and business strategy into clear objectives and tactics
  • Facilitate multiple teams across asset groups to find answers, learn, and grow.
  • Promote open, honest discussion, and feedback while encouraging the flow of communication throughout the organization demonstrating effective communication and able to resolve conflict.
  • Gain support and ensure commitment from others both inside and outside the company.
  • Will be required to use tools quickly and effectively in the Microsoft Office suite to manipulate and report information mined from various sources
  • Assist with preparation, documentation and record keeping for all Operations communications including audits, and electronic and hard-copy records for all assigned work site(s)
  • Works with damage prevention program and ensures work location participation with state programs and maintains all needed documentation from those programs
  • Assists with all annual reviews, effective evaluations, and gap analysis as necessary
  • Assists with the updating of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) and project forecast for current year
  • Generate reports to review budget data and share with management
  • Provide project administrative support for capital projects and maintenance projects; ensure projects are set up in applicable systems and all status changes are input in a timely and accurate manner; generate material requisitions; receive and verify material and material documentation; monitor, analyze, and report project cost variances; close projects by ensuring material reconciliation, unitization, and excess material distribution and project document preparation; review contractor qualifications; create, produce written communications, reports, documents, records; complete Purchase Orders (goods and services).
  • Maintain location(s) inventory maintenance and audits
  • Provide general administrative support for all assigned work site(s), manage invoices, reimbursements, input budget data, assist with budget maintenance, manage site access [monitor gate, visitor log, badging, etc.], plan and setup employee events; light housekeeping, and assist with travel arrangements/meetings; oversee licensing/local taxation issues of area's vehicles
  • Assist with gathering data and records for internal/external audits
  • Serve as Company liaison at community events, help with volunteer efforts
  • Serve as the liaison between field locations and other departments
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Bachelor's Degree or related experience as determined by the company
  • Entry-level to 3 years' experience in the natural gas industry
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision with attention to detail, strong time management skills, and project management skills.
  • Experience is position requiring analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible, adapt to change, and embrace change.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to collaborate with others while being proactive and visionary in making decisions
  • Ability to comprehend and assimilate complex business processes while working under a tight deadline in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and electronic communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization effectively in a timely manner
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Basic skill and experience in use of analytical software such as MS Excel and MS Access with the ability to create queries, forms, and reports.
  • Basic ability to research and qualify effectiveness of new technology
  • Experience performing bookkeeping, budgeting, or general administrative tasks
  • Ability to read, understand, and apply directions, policies, procedures, guidelines, requirements, and regulations


Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field
  • Experience working on the natural gas pipeline
