About Falconwood, Inc: Falconwood, Inc. is a woman/veteran-owned business providing executive level consultants and programmatic support to Department of Defense (DoD) Information Technology (IT) initiatives and programs focusing on acquisition strategy, implementation activities, cloud computing, systems engineering, and Cyber Security policy and engineering.We have an immediate opening for an Agile Configuration Manager to facilitate and guide software development product owners, teams, and organization using Agile/Scrum concepts, values, practices, and principles. This includes supporting configuration management plans (CMP) and all activity resulting in baseline changes to the system or documentation to support verification and validation of changes.
Responsibilities

The Agile CM will:

  • Provide guidance in Agile, RTE, Scrum, and SAFe; lead Agile delivery teams to deliver value consistently
  • Assist in defining the Services and underpinning Service Assets and Configuration Items (CIs); implement/maintain Configuration Management processes for maintaining data as aligned to services within the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Define Agile Stories and prioritizes the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features for the team
  • Work with the Government and development teams to institute and integrate Agile framework concepts into Release Management activities and processes
  • Maintain configuration control of technical documentation
  • Incorporate Agile principles in testing
  • Facilitate ART events and processes and assist teams in delivering value
  • Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risks and dependencies, and drive relentless improvement
  • Participate in Lean-Agile transformation, coaching leaders, teams, or Scrum Masters in new processes and mindsets. Help configure SAFe to the organization's needs, standardizing and documenting practices
  • Work with Product and Solution Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Escalate and track impediments
  • Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
  • Encourage collaboration between teams and System and Solution Architects/Engineering
  • Plan and facilitate Program Increment planning
  • Facilitate Scrum meetings; generate key metrics (e.g., burn-down, burn-up charts, flow diagrams)
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Governance boards, such as Change Advisory Board (CAB) and Change Control Board (CCB)
  • Manage Request for Change (RFC) processes, standardize processes, and identify, prioritize, plan, schedule, and monitor implementation
Qualifications

Required:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 4+ years' experience leading SAFe Agile teams as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Release Train Engineer
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology, specifically SAFe
  • Skilled in project management and engineering technical management techniques, principles, and practices
  • Ability to work independently and within a technical team environment with geographically dispersed team members
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with forming and/or running Governance Boards
Desired:
  • Project Management Professional certification
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs
