The Administrative Coordinator at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln provides complex and responsible administrative coordination/support requiring independent judgment for the Center for Academic Success and Transition (CAST) office. Position assists in the day-to-day administration of the unit and resolves details with front desk processes. Serves as the first point of contact for students (current and prospective), faculty, staff, administrators, and the general public. Responsible for independently answering a variety of informational and procedural questions related to the departments' administrative policies and procedures. Utilizes student appointment and information systems. Manages calendars, provides project support and purchases office supplies. Supervises and/or guides student worker projects and tasks. Works closely with all professional staff to diagnose and resolve administrative issues. Other responsibilities may include providing occasional coverage for Explore Center, overseeing digital signage, preparing/distributing mail, serving as key manager, overseeing objects on loan, providing business documentation, organizing technical support service, and providing administrative support for student success, coaching, and retention programs.

Minimum qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree plus 1 year relevant office experience to include customer service required; equivalent education/experience considered. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and experience with database software necessary. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to work in a high student traffic office. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and ability to learn and use complex information required. Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive and confidential information necessary. Must be able to work effectively as a member of a team.

Preferred qualifications include:
Prefer experience in higher education. Supervisory skills helpful. Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Outlook desirable. Familiarity with student information systems (e.g. MyRed, MyPLAN) preferred.
