The Accounts Receivable Senior Business Analyst will support the Credit Manager and will apply in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and workflow for the Accounts Receivable department. They will ensure Best Practice is adopted and maintained across the teams. They will be able to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.



Essential Functions

• Update daily Bank Rec at end of day documenting accurate daily balancing of all incoming cash received versus cash posted to ensure all cash is appropriately applied.
• Maintain weekly open Cash report in excel validating reapplies to customer accounts.
• Assist with posting and collection functions as requested.
• Monitor AR Remittance inbox.
• Work closely with the accounting department concerning any differences in posting.
• Able to handle deadlines and participate in month end closing.
• Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks as well as communicating potential conflicts to management.
• Takes ownership of assigned work.
• Open to continuous improvement of both self and department processes.
• Excel-proficient user with experience utilizing formulas/functions.
• Crosstrain and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education and/or Experience: Associate degree preferred
• A minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Additional Knowledge and skills

• Experience working in Accounts Receivable
• Knowledge of Accounting
• Expert User of the Microsoft Office suite of applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook))
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple task
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics system a big plus
• Cargo or other, related airline experience
• Experience and knowledgeable in the airline or travel industry
• Bilingual – English and Spanish
• Preferred to have skills and knowledge of BI tools such as Power BI
