The Position

The Accounting Manager will assist Heico Corporate Finance in adopting technology and efficiency solutions to meet the evolving needs of the Company's Executive management team. This position will report to the VP, Corporate Controller.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

• Review of journal entries for Corporate, real estate and other holding companies
• Oversight of the month-end close process, including communication of intercompany charges and allocations
• Assess and update accruals incorporating latest information and historical trends
• Ensure key balance sheet accounts are reconciled to supporting detail on a regular basis
• Assist with the development of budgets for corporate departments and related entities
• Lead the analysis of monthly Corporate departmental spend and identify and understand significant variances from budget historical periods
• Assist with the preparation of rolling forecasts for Corporate and related entities and identify and understand variances from budget
• Assist with the introduction of Microsoft Power BI application to disseminate and analyze Corporate information
• Release Corporate accounts payable disbursements, ensuring payments are properly approved and supported
• Develop proficiency with Microsoft D365 general ledger suite
• Involvement with the annual audit, including preparation of footnote packages and responding to requests and inquiries from external auditors
• Identify potential efficiencies and process improvements for Corporate and related entities
• Lead initiative to automate corporate accounting tasks
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as required to support Corporate Controller and Executive team

Job Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

Skills & Relevant Work Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in an accounting related role; combined public and private experience a plus
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
• Self-starter: able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate project status and results
• Proven ability working in a team environment
• Experience working with Microsoft D365 and Power BI a plus
• Knowledge of consolidation software (SAP's Business Objects, Hyperion, etc.) a plus
• Familiarity working with SAP Concur Expenses solution a plus
• CPA preferred
