RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Kforce client in Waltham, MA is seeking an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to join their team. This client is a consulting company with a focus in life sciences. • Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller will review, analyze, and process accounting transactions
• Prepare, record, post, and review journal entries
• Support and manage the month-end close process
• Administer payroll
• Oversee purchasing and AP files
• Perform budgeting duties
• Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller will perform variance analyses
• Perform capital and fixed assets reconciliations
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and prepare financial reports
• As an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller, you will oversee accounting staff
• Identify and resolve accounting issues
• Establish accounting methods, policies, and principles
• Work to improve systems and procedures
• Participate in special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience (Big 4/CPA Firm experience a plus)
• 2+ years of managerial experience
• Experience in public accounting
• Experience with commercial clients
• Strong interpersonal skills
• CPA is preferred
• Experience in the life sciences industry is preferred
