The Accountant ll will be responsible for performing specific tasks in Finance Department which include statutory financial reporting, general accounting, statutory filings and account analysis.


  • Prepare select financial schedules for quarterly and annual statements
  • Responsible for state filing related responsibilities including monitoring state filings checklist
  • Update records for new state filing requirements
  • Prepare journal entries and assist in financial GAAP closings
  • Prepare accurate worksheets to substantiate and document account balances
  • Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts to supporting detail
  • Provide timely and accurate spreadsheets to Accounting Manager
  • Other assignments as needed


  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized with a penchant for detail
  • A quick learner with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent PC skills, with a strong background in Microsoft Excel using pivot tables and VLookups
  • Bachelors' degree in Accounting 3-5 years of financial accounting experience. Statutory insurance accounting experience a plus.
