POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Corporate Accountant will maintain general ledger accounting for Vertiv Group Corporation and Vertiv Corporation ("Vertiv") corporate entities as well as multiple holding companies. The role will include the assembly and analysis of information to evaluate significant accruals and estimates as part of the monthly close cycle. Additionally, the role will be responsible for the reconciliation and fluctuation analysis for both key and non-key accounts. Adhoc requests and projects may also be required based on business requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that general ledgers for the corporate entities and holding companies are closed timely and in accordance with U.S. GAAP and Vertiv policies and procedures.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations monthly.
• Maintain significant global accruals and accounts including but not limited to:
  • Litigation
  • External deb
  • Prepaid assets
  • Operating and capital leases
  • Insurance, including working with third party actuarial firms to determine IBNR and claim reserve requirements
  • Audit and professional service
  • Vertiv Incentive Plan and other bonuses
• Assist with fluctuation analysis looking at period over period and actuals vs. forecast/budget.
• Other items, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0-3 years' experience in a corporate accounting role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with intermediate Excel skills i.e., vlookup, pivot tables, working with large volumes of data
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Detail oriented, able to juggle multiple requests and effectively prioritize tasks at hand
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
