Title: Account Executive - Commercial
Reports to: Director of Sales
Type: Full-Time, Salaried Exempt + Commission & Full Benefit Package including 401k

Primary Role: Responsible for carrying out all company goals and objectives established by the Director of Sales as it relates to this position. The Account Executive is responsible for exceeding sales revenue goals, developing and maintaining valued customer relationships, expanding the company's current customer base, and developing and maintaining professional selling skills. We are looking for someone who is tenacious and self-motivating and is looking for a company to grow with.

Responsibilities:

1. Create relationships with potential and existing customers that drive client satisfaction and overall sales success.
2. Develops and cultivates "trusted advisor" relationships with key business owners, contractors, architectural and engineering firms.
3. Provide timely and effective follow-up on all sales-oriented communications.
4. Work closely with internal teams to ensure projects are designed to meet the customer needs and expectations.
5. Travel to our current and prospective clients' sites to further develop relationships and inspire confidence in our company.
6. Exceed all company sales goals and objectives as it relates to this position.
7. Actively manages and completes internal documents as required including Sales CRM, scopes of work, expense reports, etc.
8. Other duties as required or assigned by company management

Accountability: The Account Executive will be accountable to the Director of Sales. Secondary accountability will be to the Vice President of Sales as well as other company management, team members, and customers.

Qualifications:

1. The Account Executive shall possess a four-year degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in business, marketing, or information technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of sales or service of building technology.
2. Must possess knowledge of managing customer relations, marketing and communications, and sales process management.
3. Must possess a proven track record in business-to-business type sales.
4. 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced high-volume industry preferred.

Preferred Sales Experience:

1. Selling into large commercial and/or governmental organizations.
2. Experience interacting successfully with C Suite level executives or other key decision makers.
3. Experience with manufacturers such as Avigilon, DMP, Hanwha, Johnson Controls, LenelS2, Milestone or other enterprise grade integrated technology solutions.

Expertise in any or all: Access control, A/V, CCTV, Fire and Life Safety Systems, and Integrated Solutions would be of benefit.

Travel: It is expected that this position will require a moderate to a considerable amount of travel to customer and vendor sites.

Additional Skills and Abilities:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone calls, email, text messages, and social media outreach to both internal and external customers.
2. History of successful self-management and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while effectively handling stressful situations.
3. Personable and well-organized, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.
4. Must be able to read and effectively interpret general business documentation.
5. Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills that allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
6. Desire to grow professionally through training opportunities.
7. Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including such programs as MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
8. Valid and current driver's license.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Requirements:

1. Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.
2. Some lifting of objects up to fifty pounds is required.
3. Reaching, grasping, and carrying activities are also required.
4. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
5. Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
