Responsibilities

• Setup/Program and Operate different types of Vertical and Horizontal Saws cutting various types of Tubing and Bar stock
• Make setups independently with minimal assistance and supervision and subject to first-piece check by quality control
• Nest materials to be cut according to daily production requirements using Aquila nesting software
• Follow daily AM activities
• Use of Hoists, Slings and Chains for lifting material
• Deburr parts as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. Exposure to fumes, sparks, noise, grease, and oil.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Equivalent knowledge and related or similar experience in programming, setting up and operating vertical and horizontal saws. Working from blue prints and shop orders, samples and specifications; maintaining quality requirements using various measuring instruments requiring interpretive reading.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to utilize these tools satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the tools required.

Vertical and Horizontal saws, digital calipers, micrometer, tape measure, rule, scale, combination square, and calculator
