During your PGRE intern experience you'll be fully immersed in our operations, learning the business from unique perspectives:

Client Solutions - work directly with PepsiCo site leadership to identify their concerns/needs/pain points around waste, then delivered a product to advance them toward key recycling goals and frontline engagement/experience (FLEX)

Sustainable and Innovative - Locate growth areas for waste/recycling management to maximize recycling / pep+ commitment and deeply analyze data on PepsiCo portfolio of over ~200 - 400 sites

Develop a global strategy with the intern team that detailed a step-by-step process to implement a recycling and landfill diversion program across North America (that can be leveraged globally)

Present a final presentation that included case studies detailing the costs, risks, resources required, and estimated impact of implementation with site-level analysis

Create a solution that supports recycling programs within a location; design reporting metrics of success

Building Critical Business Skills

As you progress through your term, you will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge you attained on the frontlines.  Our PGRE interns will work closely with our Site and Regional Leadership Team and will be responsible for utilizing strong analytical and communication skills to help the team deliver results with our most important customers.  Key aspects of this assignment include: 

  • Facility Condition Audit (Light version)
  • Understanding of the PepsiCo positive strategy / goals
  • Project management for a regional recycling program
  • Understanding budgets, schedules and finance forecasts
  • Other unique projects 
Qualifications
  • Available to work from May 28, 2024 to the August 16, 2024
  • Completion of first, second or third year of a college courses
  • High academic achievement along with demonstrated ability to pursue other interests
  • Skilled problem solver who enjoys challenges
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to confidently interact with all levels within the organization, from front-line to executive
  • Self-starter with the ability to plan work to meet objectives, set priorities and manage work schedule
