2023 Summer Internships - Electrical Engineering

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Applicants will be considered for internships with various engineering departments across the organization. In the past, our engineering interns have joined teams such as:

OPERATIONS ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: You will focus on high-level projects affecting the Transmission, Substation and Collection systems - ranging from 34.5kV to 345kV. A primary focus of the role is troubleshooting high voltage electrical faults, as well as developing programs and maintenance practices to prevent unnecessary site downtime.

RENEWABLE PROJECT ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING: Oversees the technical design, evaluation and construction of commercial and utility-scale wind, solar, thermal, and storage projects.

TRANSMISSION AND COMMERCIAL ANALYTICS: Manages all interconnection and transmission aspects of generation projects. Assesses and communicates information about the energy markets using quantitative models, independent market studies, market risk analysis and forecasts.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between May 2023 and May 2024.
  • Majoring in an electrical engineering discipline with a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Interest in the renewable energy or clean energy sector.
  • Comfortable working in an amorphous environment.
