Position Summary

Our Global Credit segment is a global, multi-product, markets-focused investment platform. Established in 1999 with our first high yield fund, Global Credit currently operates 122 active vehicles with more than 210 investment professionals and approximately $152 billion in AUM, as of June 30, 2023.

As part of Global Credit, Credit Strategic Solutions focuses on the origination, structuring, and management of credit opportunities. Credit Strategic Solutions is currently investing out of Carlyle Structured Solutions ("CSS") and Carlyle Asset Finance ("CAF"). CSS invests primarily in private, directly originated credit instruments sourced, structured and underwritten by Carlyle. CAF seeks to provide flexible, asset-backed financing solutions to non-bank lenders and other asset owners. Additionally, Credit Strategic Solutions designs bespoke investment solutions for the benefit of Carlyle's institutional clients, including pensions and insurers.

Responsibilities

The Associate will be based in New York, NY and the role will entail evaluating & executing new investment opportunities, portfolio monitoring of existing investments, and designing investment solutions and structures for institutional investors. The Associate will serve as an integral part of the deal team and contribute meaningfully throughout the investment process, including due diligence, engagement with internal and external stakeholders, financial modeling and valuation, and drafting of materials and investment committee memos.

Requirements
Education & Certificates

  • Bachelor's degree required

Knowledge & Experience
  • 2 - 3 years of relevant experience in Financial Services, Investment Banking, or credit investing
  • Experience in transaction and deal execution, credit underwriting is preferred

  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills required
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter, positive attitude with strong multi-tasking and prioritization abilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team

Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $150,000.

In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
