Objective and Primary Responsibilities / Summary
The Warehouse Work Experience Trainee is a temporary work experience position that provides the participant an opportunity to learn the basic tasks and skills of the position. Participants are placed at a variety of work sites and each experience is unique in skills attainment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilizes safe practices to properly assist drivers with loading and unloading of bins.
  • Creates loads for drivers as assigned.
  • Load and unload trucks/trailers. Segregating goods and trash.
  • Ensure all items are marked correctly and placed in the correct location.
  • Sort recyclables in proper containers (metal, plastic, cardboard, etc.).
  • Learns and operates under supervision basic warehouse equipment following established standard operating procedures and guidelines. (i.e. pallet jack, hand truck, furniture dolly).
  • Clean, organize and sweep the warehouse to ensure a safe environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry min. 25 lbs.

  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
