The Office Work Experience Trainee is a temporary work experience position that provides the participant an opportunity to learn the basic tasks and skills of the position. Participants are placed at a variety of work sites and each experience is unique in skills attainment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs office duties in support of an assigned department or division; receives and directs telephone calls and visitors; provides information on department or division services and operations Assists in managing the flow and preparation of paperwork. Acts as a receptionist; answers the telephone and provides information on department policies and procedures Maintains a variety of files and records in assigned department; files in accordance with establishing filing system. Provides customer service, information, referrals and assistance to the general public and other departments Collects, sorts, posts, adds, and modifies accurate data as necessary for tracking purposes into respective databases systems and/or processes. Records and updates directories as needed Orders, receives and organizes materials and supplies Maintains, requests, and cancels vendors services as needed. Sorts and distributes internal and external correspondence Precisely prepares and tracks outgoing mail Additional Duties & Responsibilities
