Note: This is a 100 % remote DIRECT HIRE position. Prefer candidates from Mountain Time Zone and PST Time Zone.

One of our clients in Los Angeles is looking for a Mid-Level Business Intelligence Analyst with the following skills and experience:

Background Requirements

• Previous experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or similar
• A degree or certificate in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analysis, or similar is preferred.
• Experience in eliciting requirements and objectives from stakeholders
• Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
• Experience working with complex, multi-source data structures.
• Strong experience in creating and adjusting SQL queries.
• Strong experience in creating and adjusting dashboards (Tableau, Looker, etc)
• Basic knowledge in generating process documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills.
• The ability to work both as a team and independently.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Technological, computer, and data analysis knowledge
• Strong SQL experience, data visualization, and data presentation skills to both power and non-power users
• Proper knowledge on assisting multiple departments (Credit, Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Accounting)
• Strong management and leadership skills

Role and Responsibilities

• Collaborating with team members across multiple departments for the purpose of understanding or defining objectives

• Identify specific business opportunities and ways to capitalize on them.
• Represent Data & Analytics team to stakeholders, presenting as a thought leader for data applications and abilities within the company.

• Developing and executing tasks to achieve objectives.
• Operate as a project manager and as an Independent Contributor
• Ability to build and execute ETLs (queries) from data sources.

• Gather and analyze data for business objectives relating to efficiencies and growth.

• Analyzing data and restructure as needed to deliver actionable insights via reports or dashboards.

• Create reports, dashboards and visualizations to help others understand business performance.

• Creating and maintaining documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization.
• Identifying the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability
• Identify automation opportunities.
• Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools, both existing and new
• Perform data discovery, analysis and modeling.
